What We Believe
The faith behind every story, game and study on Little Vine.
The heart of it
Little Vine is a Christian learning app. We hold to the Bible as the foundation for everything we teach, and we acknowledge:
- One God in three persons. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit: the Triune God.
- Jesus Christ is Lord, and He is God. We teach His birth, His early life and His works and ministry, His death on the cross, His burial, His resurrection and His ascension.
- The Bible is God's Word. Our studies start from the text itself: what it says, where and when it was written, and what it meant to its first readers.
Where Christians differ
Faithful Christians disagree about some questions, such as how baptism is practised, how communion is understood, the timing of future events, or the use of spiritual gifts. In those places we do not take a side. We explain the main views fairly, show the Scripture each one relies on, and encourage families to talk with their own pastor or church.
The original languages
Where a Hebrew or Greek word helps a passage make sense, our studies show the word, how it is pronounced and what it meant in that verse and its setting. We give the meaning in context, not a list of every possible translation.
Bible translations
Our studies use public-domain translations such as the World English Bible, and we name the translation wherever we quote it. We may add other translations later under their licences.
